In Loving Memory of William Goodson

William Taylor Goodson, age 78, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at home in Calhan, Colorado.  He was born on October 4, 1940 to Oscar Robert Goodson and Fredda Voncile Carter.  William grew up in Denver, Colorado, which is also where he met his loving wife, Janice.  They eventually made their home in Calhan, Colorado.

Some of his favorite things in life were spending time with family, fishing, riding motorcycles, hunting, listening to country and oldies music, and playing guitar.  Papa was loved by everyone and loved his family very much.  He would always make everyone laugh by always asking, “Do you got any money?” Papa loved life and was always bringing a smile and laughter to all of those around him.  He will forever be missed and loved by his family.  We are so thankful and blessed to have him in all of our lives.

William is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice; 6 children, JoAnn Goodson (Linden Hoxie) of Colorado Springs, Deanna Andres (Ed) of Colorado Springs, Susie Castanien (John) of Calhan, Kathy Taufa (Dave) of Falcon, Starr Goodson (Becky) of Colorado Springs, and Dawn Zahlmann (Glenn) of Colorado Springs; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Larry; 3 sisters, Juanita, Fredda, and Nancy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
