In Loving Memory of Theresa Stivers
Theresa Pearlene Stivers, age 60, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. Theresa was born in Seoul, South Korea on March 1, 1958. Along with her sisters and brother, she was lovingly adopted by her mother and father, Phillip and Eva Lorene Titone at a very young age. She grew up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma surrounded by love and a massive extended family she adored. Theresa graduated from Sapulpa High School. She met and fell in love with Darrell Hatcher while living in Oklahoma.
From a very young age, Theresa played the piano. Her ability to play was astounding, beautiful, and her music could fill a room with joy. She played for several school organizations, choirs, churches, funerals, and weddings throughout her life. Although she loved to play traditional hymns, her favorite music to play were love songs.
Although she’s lived in the beautiful, mountainous landscape of Northwest Colorado for more than a decade, she disliked being cold and being surrounded by snow with an intense passion. Despite her feelings, she endured the cold and the vast distance from her family for one reason, her youngest son, Hunter. She lived for Hunter and would do whatever it took to make sure he was happy. If that meant enduring the cold, she he was determined to do it. Theresa had a smile that could light up a room, a giving heart, energy that seemed endless. Unless she was reading a book, she was always up doing something…cleaning, working, serving others, playing or making sure her number one priority and light of her life, Hunter, was taken care of.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and by Darrell Hatcher.
Theresa is survived by Daughter: Elisha MeLing Hess and her husband Justin Levi Hess; sons Dirk DeWitt Stivers and Hunter Darrell Hatcher; granddaughters Allison Lynn and Makenna Eva Hess; one grandson Cohen Park Hess; one brother Salvador Titone; two sisters Kimberly Ralena Genualdi and Beth Maeling Shope; one sister-in-law Verllian Vergie Moore Titone; and many more family and friends.
