In Loving Memory of Terri Bradshaw

Terri Darlene Bradshaw passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 in Colorado Springs surrounded by her family.

Terri was born on March 7, 1952 in East Los Angeles to Concho Reece Valdez and Velma Inez Greene. Family was the most important thing to Terri. She was a single mother, and she made it look easy; it wasn’t until they grew up that her three children came to understand how hard it must have been. Always upbeat and self-reliant, she never let it show.

The importance of family translated to the larger community through Terri. Always there to help, to feed someone who was hungry or lend a needed hand, Terri got to know her neighbors and worked to build a connected community, a place where she could enjoy watching children play and families spending time together. A bit of a nomad, Terri and her family moved often and took that sense of community and connection with them, making each new place feel like home.

Terri worked for the telephone company for the majority of her adult life, then retired as an engineer. A seeking intellect, she soaked up knowledge and taught herself through hands-on experience.
When she wasn’t working or crocheting, Terri was spending time out in nature, taking joy in the unspoiled loveliness of the world. If she could choose to be anywhere, it would be out beneath the endless sky, her family beside her.

Terri leaves behind three children: Billy W. Bradshaw (Honolulu, HI); Steven Reece Bradshaw (Colorado Springs); and Elizabeth Ann Bradshaw (Houston, TX); and five grandchildren: Justin Bradshaw; Jade Bradshaw; Brontë Bradshaw; Olivia D. Medina; and Carlos L. Medina.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Pikes Peak Hospice for all their love and support.

Services are under the direction of Return to Nature Funeral Home, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
