In Loving Memory of Susan Shelley

Susan Marie Shelley, age 57, passed away July 21, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born January 4, 1961 in Cedartown, Georgia to James Kato and Ruby Hudgins Kato.  Susan has an Associates Degree and spent many years as a counselor for Inner Harbour Hospital in Georgia. She volunteered as a contributor to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome support groups. Susan loved to dance. Her favorite son being Your Man by Josh Turner. Susan recently moved to Colorado and was truly happy to enjoy the beauty of the area. She and her husband watched the sunrise hit the front range and Pikes Peak each morning, always marveling in the changing colors as the sun progressed. She loved her days growing up in Georgia and living from the land. Devoted to her husband, Dan and found pure joy being with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded by her son David Brian Bailey and a dear friend Pat Zook.

Susan is survived by her husband Dan Shelley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her daughter Deanna Kato Brunswick, Georgia; granddaughter Stella Kato and grandson Felix Weston both of Brunswick, Georgia; two sisters, Dianne Gregory and Jimmie Camp; one brother, James Kato,  all of Brunswick, Georgia; grandson Jack Kato; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special family members in Colorado Springs, Colorado; additional family; Brandon and Heidi Shelley of Colorado, Clint Shelley of Colorado and Heather Shelley of Rome, Georgia; grandchildren Carlie, Alyhia, Jaydin, Alek, Nathanial and Alexandra. The family would like to also recognize her dear friend Diane Sutphin of Rome, Georgia.
