In Loving Memory of Sarah Grace Rogerson
Sarah Grace Rogerson
January 31, 1986 – July 31, 2020
Sarah Grace Rogerson (34), passed on July 31, 2020 after a life-long struggle with a congenital neurological condition. Despite physical challenges, her shining spirit shone through in all she did.
A graduate of William J. Palmer High School (2004), she went on to become a childcare professional much beloved by her community. She was a staple of Colorado Springs nightlife, known as much for her witticisms as for her fashion sense. Following her years volunteering at the Business of Arts Center, Sarah became a well-known member of the Colorado Springs arts scene as an audience member, supporter, and a collector.
Sarah had the poise, grace and style of a model. Her inquisitive mind took her from novels and history to world events and People magazine. In a room where she was the youngest by decades, she could wow all with her charm. Her carefully selected birthday cards were always the first to arrive.
Her friends and family will remember her easy smile, sense of humor, caring nature, and stubbornness, living life on her own terms.
Sarah is survived by her parents, Michael and Lynda Rogerson, her sisters Katelyn (Jonathan) White, and Laura Everett (Brad Janke), her uncles Erik (Deborah) Nelson, and Christopher (Linda) Nelson, brother-in-law Mark (Tammy) Everett, and three nephews (Casey Everett, Michael R. White, and Jack S. White), her Godmother Anne Brown, and a large extended family. Sarah’s grandparents John and Helen Nelson and George and Rubye Rogerson; her brother Thomas M. Rogerson; and her Uncle Michael A. Nelson and Aunt Sandra Rollings preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be scheduled after the pandemic.
We treasure the memory of Sarah. We are forever thankful she was part of our lives. As a friend said, Sarah will be a formidable guardian angel.
Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24
