In Loving Memory of Sadako Uchida Sites
Sadako Uchida Sites passed away November 25, 2019 at age 87 in the loving embrace of family. Colorado Springs had been her home since 1965.
Sadako worked for Rodger Thornton Custom Tailor in Colorado Springs for 25 years before retiring. In retirement, she was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital, and taught a variety of art classes at the Colorado Springs Senior Center as well as working part time at a number of places in the Pikes Peak region until age 80. Sadako continued to follow her passions for gardening and painting—attending classes as her time and energy allowed.
If you met her, she was the cute little Japanese lady polite to a fault, neatly dressed and enjoying life. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.
