In Loving Memory of Rose Anita Padilla (Velarde)

Rose Anita Padilla (Velarde) passed away at the age of 68 of natural causes on October, 22nd 2019, in Colorado Springs, CO at Penrose St. Francis Hospital.  Rose was born on January 26^th 1951 in Trinidad, Colorado to Joe and Cecilia Padilla. She was a graduate of Trinidad High school in the class of 1969. While in high school she met Louis Abeyta, they went on to marry 1970 and had two daughters; Celeste & Janea.  Rose and Louis decided to move to Denver Colorado in 1971, where they bought a home and started their lives together.  Rose & Louis to divorced in the 1979.   After going to college at Emily Griffith, Rose proudly worked for the city of Denver until her declining health caused her to retire.  Rose moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren.  Rose truly loved all of her family members and loved to get together with them throughout the years whenever possible.   Rose is survived by her children Celeste, Janea & her husband Kenneth. Grandchildren; Ector, Desmand, Keonnae, Marquis, Aaliyah, and Nevaeh.  Siblings; Mary, Joe, Evelyn.  Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.  At the end of Rose’s life she found a deep love for the lord and was ready to go home to rest.

A Celebration of life was held for Rose on November 23^rd 2019 @ 1:00pm., Located at: Ken Carl Ranch; 7676 S. Continental Divide Road, Littleton, CO  80127 with a reception to follow at that location.  Brother Kevin Savage will officiate.  The family would like to thank everyone who has helped to put Rose’s celebration together.
