In Loving Memory of Robert A. Yager

Robert A. Yager, age 74, passed away on January 9, 2020 in Colorado Springs.  He was born on June 21, 1945 in Colorado Springs to Robert Glenn and Naomi Marie Correll.  He grew up in Manitou Springs, Colorado and graduated from Manitou Springs High School and later went on to serve in the U.S. Navy where he also obtained further education through YNSN NAVSCOL YN CLASS School.  Bob met the love of his life, Anna Louise Jewett, in Anacortes, Washington and the two were married on June 29, 1965.

Bob had a deep love and connection to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a genuine, kind, and very loving man with a smile for everyone.  He had a great sense of humor and a bit of mischief with his brother Ken.  Bob and his brother Ken fed the girls, Kathy and Karen, fried grasshopper legs. They found in the bottom of the neighbors (Dentist) summer home some false teeth with wires and tried them on, and their mother made them take them back. When Bob worked at the Arcade, they would go underneath the bridge to find money that fell into the creek so they could play the games.

He greatly enjoyed reading, making jewelry, leather work, and wood burning, but his greatest joy in life was his family.  When our son was born after 21 years of marriage, he was popping buttons and he was very proud father. Whatever was needed for our family he provided it to all of us. Bob was an honorable LDS, loving husband, devoted father, and a loyal friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert Glenn Yager; his mother, Naomi Marie Correll Yager; sister, Karen Sue Yager Adams; grandparents, Owen and Laura Grace Heaston Correll; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He is survived by his wife, Anna Jewett Yager; his son, Josh Yager; a special niece, Mary Ramsey-Shelia; brother, Kenneth Yager (Peggy); sisters, Kathryn Yager Thomson (Vern) and Laura Ratcliff (Mo); many cousins, nieces, and nephews;  great great-nieces and nephews and one great great great-niece.
