In Loving Memory of Minnie Reed

Minnie M. Reed, age 92, a longtime resident of Fountain, Colorado passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 in Colorado Springs. She was born on August 4, 1926 to Monroe and Viola Loggains in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Minnie grew up in Colorado and attended high school in Colorado Springs. She met Robert Reed at the local Nazarene Church and they married on August 15, 1944. The two spent many wonderful years together and built a beautiful family. Minnie loved life and touched the lives of everyone near her. She had a great love for music and could play the piano by ear. She also played the accordion until it became too heavy to hold. Minnie could grow anything, but her tomatoes were her pride and joy. Minnie collected coins, crocheted, and created crafts and art. She was truly a rare and talented person. Her sunny disposition allowed her to never know a stranger. Minnie loved all her children and family more than anything. Her whole family will miss her every day but remain thankful for the many years they spent with such a wonderful woman.

Minnie is survived by her five sons Ronald Reed, Robert Reed Jr., Raymond Reed, Richard Reed, Ralph Reed, one daughter Marilyn Johnson, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many other family and friends. She will be missed by all who ever knew her.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:30pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Return to Nature Funeral Home parlor, 123 East Las Animas Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Fairview Cemetery,757 South Santa Fe Avenue, Fountain, Colorado 80817.
