In Loving Memory of Michael Patrick O’Keane

Mr. Michael Patrick O’Keane was born July 29, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Vincent Francis O’Keane and Jean Foulks O’Keane.  He attended Rufus King High School and then went on to complete his education through a Lineman Apprenticeship.

On May 26, 1995, he wed Lynette M. O’Keane after they met in Culver City, California and ended up living in Pueblo West, Colorado for the past seven years.

Mike was a generous, wonderful caring man with a quick wit and sense of humor. He worked as a Journeyman Lineman all around the country for 43 years through heat, wind, snow, ice and rainstorms; fires & earthquakes. He was always at the front lines making sure people had their power restored as soon as possible. As a foreman, his main objective was to get his crew and himself home safe to their loved ones every day which he took great pride in doing.

He is preceded in death by his father Vincent, mother Jean, and his aunt Margaret O’Keane.

Mike is survived by his wife Lynette of the family home; daughter Kelly Hayes (Kevin) of Loveland, Colorado; stepsons Rev. Adam Medina (Dawn) of Maplewood, Missouri, Carl Medina of Pueblo, Colorado, and Anthony Cameron of Mimbres, New Mexico; brother John O’Keane (Mary) of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; and his ray of hope puppy Welby.

The family would like to give special thanks to his doctors Kathryn McCaffrey, MD, Christopher Louie, MD, Travis Archuleta, MD; caregivers at Parkview Medical Center; and most importantly to New Century Hospice and staff (Ally, Heather, Sheryl, Pastor Tom). Thanks to my dear friends and neighbors Steve & Carolyne Brotherton for their continuous love and support.
