In Loving Memory of Martin Reyes Garcia

Martin Reyes Garcia, age 53, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2019 at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campusin Denver, Colorado.

Martin, son of Reyes and Margaret Garcia, was born on July 14, 1965 in Ft. Morgan, CO. He lived the first three years of his life in Wiggins, CO and then moved to Colorado Springs. In 1983, Martin graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He attended Regis University in Denver for two years. He worked at the Hungry Farmer from 1984-2002. He was loved and respected by co-workers and patrons alike. For fifteen years, Martin worked at Progressive Insurance.

Martin was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He had a positive outlook on life, a wonderful sense of humor and ready smile. He held on to this to the end of his days. He enjoyed his family and friends and all things Colorado, especially his beloved Denver Broncos. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing poker, keeping up on the latest sports news, fishing, camping and spending time in the mountains when he could.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reyes Garcia.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy, of twenty years, Colorado Springs, CO; his son, Nico (Jessica) Garcia, Pueblo, CO; his daughter, Natasha Garcia, Pueblo, CO; his son, Cory Garcia, Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren; his mother, Margaret (Garcia) Vasquez, Ft. Morgan, CO; sisters, Yolanda Angle, Colorado Springs, CO; Elizabeth Ortega, Colorado Springs, CO; Margaret Myers, Frazee, MN; many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.

As per Martin’s wishes, he will be cremated and remembered in a private memorial for immediate family. A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later time for friends and family.
