In Loving Memory of Marianne Lisa Hittesdorf

Marianne Lisa Hittesdorf passed away on March 16, 2021. She was 92 years old.
She was born and raised in Bremen, Germany. She survived WWII in the most bombed city in Germany. She continued to be a survivor the rest of her life.
After the war, Marianne married US Army sergeant, Harold P Hittesdorf. She raised two sons on numerous military bases around the world, including in Japan, West Germany, Kansas and Colorado. When Harold retired from military service in 1962, they moved to Security, Colorado where she spent the rest of her life.
Marianne was a smart, strong and independent woman. She loved her bridge groups and spent many weekends chasing after Masterpoints at various bridge tournaments. She hated to lose. She was also known to spend some time in front of slot machines in Cripple Creek casinos.
Harold passed away on March 9, 1991. Marianne is survived by her sons, Mike (Laurie) of Ft Collins, Colorado, Steve (Helen) of Broomfield, Colorado, four grandchildren (Chris, Erin, Leah and Max) and one great grandson (Logan).
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Alyce, and the hospice group at New Century, especially Katie, for their kind and compassionate care during her final months.
Per Marianne’s wishes, there will be no services. Her ashes will be interred along with her husbands’s at Ft Logan National Cemetery.
