In Loving Memory of Maria Ines Llamas Quintero
Maria Ines Lamas Quintero, age 81, passed away peacefully at home in Peyton, Colorado on October 20, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1940 in La Villa Purificacion Jalisco, Mexico to Francisco Llamas and Leonarda Quintero.
Our mother as a young adult traveled in late 1960s to the US alone and knew no one, but she made a life for herself and had 2 daughters that she raised by herself. She was brave, talented, kind, giving, always helping others and beautiful. She worked as a seamstress for 40 years, but also enjoyed the little things in life. She greatly enjoyed coloring and drawing, listening to music, and watching novellas. She was a loving and devout Catholic woman, who also liked to play tricks and laugh. There was one time in her village where her and sister loaded a shot gun when they were kids. It belonged to their father. They shot it and fell on their behinds. Of course, it was loud enough for their parents to hear. They never did that again. She would also take your treat if you were not quick enough. And she loved Coca Cola and vanilla ice cream.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents and brothers. She is survived by Maria Guadalupe, Manuel and Jacqueline, her daughters and son in law; her grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Faith, Katerina, Max and Jacob; and her great grandchild, Luciano.
We thank you for your support and caring for our mother. Thank you Ms. Kim for driving mom all that way. Thank you to Return to Nature Funeral Home staff.
