In Loving Memory of Lynne Marie Magnuson

Lynne Marie Magnuson, 69, passed away on September 7, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on June 27, 1953 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Muriel and Lloyd Wheaton. Lynne grew up in Minnesota, which is where she met her loving husband, Charles Robert Magnuson. The two were married April 27, 1974 and started a family of their own, eventually making their way to Colorado. They spent many years in Woodland Park where Lynne was very active in her community and church, Our Lady of the Woods. They later moved to Colorado Springs, where she lived for the past 22 years and was welcomed into her new parish family at Sacred Heart.

Lynne was always active within her church and dedicated many years to coordinating religious education and RCIA. She enjoyed participating in a monthly book club and retreats/outings with friends. Lynne was always busy and spent many years working as a day-care provider and later working alongside her husband, Charles running Magnuson Insurance Agency. In addition, she truly enjoyed reading, playing slot machines, needlework, and most importantly spending time with family and friends, especially her 8 grandchildren.

Lynne is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Muriel Wheaton; her husband, Charles Magnuson; and her brothers, Richard Wheaton and Thomas Wheaton. She is survived by her daughter, Alissa Baker (Bill) and children- Tyler (19), Makenzie (17), and Riley (14); daughter, Amanda Vaughan (Derek) and children- Benjamin (13), Lucy (12), Max (11), Jack (5), Luke (3); sister, Carol Hamilton; and brother, Paul Wheaton.

The family would like to suggest any donations be made to Marian House Soup Kitchen in Colorado Springs.
