Luis ‘Louie’ Colorado, age 61, died Monday, December 5th, 2022 at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital.  He was born September 2nd, 1961 in El Paso, Texas to Miguel and Refugio Colorado. Louie graduated from Eastwood High School, making the dean’s list and Spanish National Honor Society (Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica). He then earned his bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at  El Paso, or as he affectionately called it, “Harvard on the Border”.

After beginning his tech career with AT&T as a Software Analyst, Louie joined CSG International in December of 2000, dedicating the following 22 years to the organization. During his tenure, Louie worked on some of the most strategically important projects to CSG including ACP, ACPx, ACP Voice, and most recently, the Ascendon project. On those projects, Louie ensured the products were delivered with quality, enabling clients such as Comcast, Charter, Dish Network, and a huge list of others.  In these 22 years, Louie remained eager to learn, embracing new technologies, methodologies, and practices, all while mentoring teammates on those and his vast telecommunications industry knowledge.

At the time of his death, he was enjoying life at home after a long and successful career, focusing on his family, his health, good food, and football. He will be remembered for his love of God, Friends, Family, The Dallas Cowboys, as well as service to his church, local community, and the broader VCP community. Louie brightened up every room and we will always remember his warm compassion, infectious sense of humor, strong work ethic, and the genuine Colorado charm.
