In Loving Memory of Lara Malone:

Lara will be deeply missed. She entered this world on August 27, 1983, and left it far, far too soon on October 27, 2017.

Our Lara was smart, beautiful, kind and loving, full of determination and courage, always ready for adventure, full of laughter, profoundly open-hearted. She was the kind of friend anyone would be lucky to have, ready with a joke or to step in when anyone, human or animal, friend or stranger, needed help.

She loved to spend time outdoors with family, friends, animals, and the love of her life, her husband Andreas. She also enjoyed reading, watching movies, going out to eat… and doing laundry.

Lara is survived and grieved by her husband Andreas Malone; her parents Jeanette Kinard and Michelle Monzingo; and many, many beloved family members, including her cousin Andrea as well as Samantha Jo Soloman Klebba and Samantha’s parents Cindy and Shari. Lara joins her best friend, Sonya Sulina McChristian-Narfleet, who passed away earlier this year on February 23, 2017.

Lara loved the creatures of the world, especially dogs, cats and cows. It was her wish that, in lieu of flowers, those who would like to honor her memory do so with a donation to organizations that rescue and rehabilitate animals. Some worthy local recipients include Black Forest Animal Sanctuary, Broken Shovels Farm and National Mill Dog Rescue.

Her family will hold a small gathering in Lara’s memory at a date which has yet to be determined; her ashes will be scattered on Lake Michigan in Chicago on her 35th birthday, August 27, 2018.

 

 

I’m completely devastated by Lara passing, she is my true love. Just after her passing she came to me in my sleep and said, “Look at me! Look at me!, there’s no more pain!” jumping up and down running as fast as she could, she said to me, “Don`t worry about me, I Love You!”. Lara, I miss you so much. I know when I see you again you will be holding that door for me, until then I’ll keep you in my heart forever.
