Kathy Elisabeth Fowles, age 60, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 in Penrose, Colorado. She was born February 13, 1958 to Robert Richard and Elizabeth (Stumer) Ellgen. Kathy grew up in Pueblo, attending East High. She went on to obtain a degree in Accounting. Kathy loved animals and cared about their well-being. She was a lover of ceramics, painting and crafts.
Her family spent countless conversations to come up with a few funny stories. Unfortunately there are none that won’t offend someone. If you knew Kathy you know she loved to laugh and she lived life to the fullest. Kathy did things her way. She embraced everything that she was and that she had. Kathy made no excuse. She spoke her mind if you wanted to hear what she had to say or not. Kathy loved everyone in her own way. She will be missed by all who knew her.
As Kathy would say “Our Family would make Dr. Phil need a Therapist”. She embraced that with pride and laughter. Kathy was truly one of a kind.
She is preceded by her parents Robert and Elizabeth Ellgen and one sister-in-law Stacy Anderson.
Kathy is survived by her husband Martin Fowles, one son Samuel (Anna) Davisson, daughters Mary (Darrell) Simons, Debbie Larson and Lisa Pence. Grandchildren Anthony Giuillitto, Sarah Paepke, Jacob Davisson and close friend Paula Erwin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Return to Nature Funeral Service Chapel, 516 North 10th Street, Canon City, Colorado 81212. All are welcome to attend.
