In Loving Memory of John Phillip Allen

John Phillip Allen passed to eternal rest in Colorado Springs, Colorado July 2nd, 2020. John was born at Davenport, Iowa on January 10th 1944. He was raised in Battle Creek, Michigan by his parents, Edward and Anna Iverson Allen.

John attended Kellogg Community College and Central Michigan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physics and chemistry. He also obtained a Master’s in chemical engineering from Denver University, and after a successful career returned to school and became a marriage, family, and child therapist.

He is survived by his wife, three children, three stepchildren, and twelve grandchildren as well as three sisters.

John served in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam conflict and was a member of Vista Grande United Church of Christ.
