James “Jim” L. Jarvaise, age 63, passed away August 7, 2018 near Denver, Colorado. Jim made his home in Colorado Springs and spent over 41 years living there. He was born July 7, 1955 in Las Angels,
California to Olive Loraine Webster Jarvaise and James A. Jarvaise. After high school Jim obtained his plumbing license and spent many years working for HPE Mechanical, R.K. Plumbing and Custom Auger. Jim loved his family above anything else, especially his bride Kristin L. Meyers Jarvaise of 39 years together.
Jim was always considered a rare bird. Someone who loved The Misfits. Jim just enjoyed great music and listening to it loud. His favorite song has always been Angel by Jimi Hendrix. Jim would pride himself to be furthest out there, hence his nickname Pluto, given to him when he was younger. He struggled with being bipolar, which created some difficult times and yet he loved to make people laugh. Jim was a very hard worker all his life. What he loved doing most was being outdoors, fishing with his best friend, camping solo or with his friends and family. Jim will be missed and remembered by all who ever knew him. It’s safe to say a huge presence in this world is now gone.
He was preceded by his parents James A. and Lorraine Jarvaise; one sister Julie Jarvaise; and one son Jason Brainerd.
Jim is survived by his wife Kristin Jarvaise; daughter Rebecca (Jarvaise) & Bob Stout; grandson Gage Stout and granddaughter Krissy Stout; one brother Jean Jarvaise; and by sisters Anna Jarvaise and Jeanie Jarvaise.
The family would like to express a special Thank You to Allyson Sales, Ashlee Palmer, Bob Stout and Doug Metheny in these trying times.
