David Mark Barr, age 62, passed away on April 17, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was born in Waynesburg, PA on May 13, 1955 to David Wendell Barr and Margaret Elizabeth Frazier. He worked as a truck driver for Anaheim Citrus Products and Coast Grain before retiring.
In 1986, David’s job at Anheuser-Busch brought him in contact with a security officer named Lisa. After seeing her three times a day for over a year, he finally asked her out. Their first date was September 28, 1986; they were married on February 13, 1988 and went on to have two sons, Joel and Josh.
Music meant a lot to David – everything from classical to prog-rock, from Bach to Kansas, Rush and Yes. He was a musician himself, a talented keyboardist. David also loved baseball, especially the San Francisco Giants. He could talk about baseball forever. Actually, he could talk about a lot of things forever; he loved a good conversation and thought deeply about many things. If he wasn’t talking baseball or music, he was solving the problems of the world, pondering the mystery of this strange and wonderful existence and the God Who created it all.
David will be missed deeply by his wife, Lisa, and his sons Joel and Josh.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 26th at Evergreen Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Return to Nature Funeral Home, Colorado Springs, Colorado www.returntonaturecolorado.com
