
Charles Henry Schwartz, age 89, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado. A true Colorado native. He was born on April 20, 1930 in Hooper, Colorado to Henry and Hazel Schwartz. Charles grew up in Hooper and graduated from Hooper High School in 1948. He soon joined the Marines and headed off to boot-camp. He was affectionately known as Tiny in the valley growing up, Grandpa, Grandad, pots and of course dad to his family. He loved his family dearly.

Charles was blessed making some great friends, most of which are lifelong friends. He enjoyed camping with his wife in Blue Mesa and other places, a true lover of nature. Charles wore many hats during his time. He worked for Planters Peanuts, as a salesman’s for P&G, he owned a Donut shop and he owned Penrose Plaza Liquor. His greatest joy was the love of his life, Denna. They met in Pueblo in the 70’s and married on January 20, 1978. They spent 39 years living in Penrose, Colorado together. Charles will be forever remembered with a smile and missed by all those who ever knew him.

He is preceded by his parents; one brother Keith Schwartz; one sister WinnaBeth James; two brother-in laws, Ed Brown and Wendell James and one nephew Robert Brown.
Charles is survived by his wife Denna of Penrose, Colorado; his children Wanda Tamada (Clinton), Trina Finto (Keith), Ed Willits(Sherry) Rick Willits(Bonnie) Penny Willits-Garcia (George); eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren;

one sister Betty Brown; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Return to Nature Funeral Home Penrose Chapel, 31 Werner Road, Penrose, Colorado 81240.
